The apartment is literally meters from the shops, cafes and trams in Bridport Street and Albert Park with its stunning lake and city skyscape and ever popular Albert Park Beach. Apartment Four has been refurbished with a collection of stylish furniture and selected artworks. The front bedroom has a useful workstation desk and chair with streetscape outlook. Open the front door and enter a wide hall with a large wall mirror. Down the hall the separate Lounge Room has an original heritage fireplace (decorative only), period ceiling/cornice and stylish light fitting. The large L shaped couch provides extra accommodation if needed. Bedding provided. The apartment has a modern chef’s kitchen, complete with European appliances, generous fridge, ample bench and storage space, coffee machine and a well-equipped pantry with most things needed for cooking convenience. The meals area in the kitchen has a table that seats four. The deck off the lounge room has an outdoor table setting which is perfect for al fresco dining and and relaxing in the sun. The deck has a shared section with the neighbours who have some outdoor chairs. Consideration of the neighbours with noise is requested when using the shared deck. The modern bathroom with shower bath has a washer/dryer. A convenient fold away clothes rack, ironing board and iron is provided. The apartment features fast Wi-Fi with unlimited data and free on-street parking using a Visitors Permit right outside the front door. Well behaved pets are most welcome. The apartment is all yours. If it is shopping, fashion and fine dining you are after then go no further than around the corner to the Victoria Avenue / Bridport Street Shopping Centre, or visit Chapel Street in South Yarra, especially on a Saturday or head out to Melbourne’s fashion capital at Chadstone Shopping Centre. BRIDPORT STREET / VICTORIA AVENUE SHOPPING STRIP Literally out the door and around the corner is the Bridport Street / Victoria Avenue shopping strip with plenty of great shops, cafes and restaurants. It has everything you may need during your stay. Around the corner in Bridport Street for great coffee and breakfast is Hapsburg Empire. Laurent Artisan French Bakery, Dundas and Faucett and Bread Club, Albert Park. Nearby the popular and uber cool Albert Park Hotel which is a local favourite. This recently renovated pub is the local watering hole. It is well worth a visit for a drink, lounge at the first floor cocktail bar or dinner at the excellent eastern inspired restaurant. Popular local wine bars is Lina's and the current go to wine bar / restaurant to see and be seen The Village Wine Bar. This is a must book. Ever popular nearby favourite restaurants are Ricardo's (Italian) and Misuzus with traditional and innovative Japanese cuisine and Izakaya dining. CARS AND PARKING Free all day car parking on the street is available using the Visitors Permit provided. There is usually a parking spot right out front of the home in Bevan Street. There is no onsite parking available. The Visitors Permit can be found on the mantlepiece in the Living Room. The Visitors Permits must be placed on the cars dashboard when in use. The permit must be returned when leaving. A fee of $300 will be charged if the Visitors Parking Permit is lost, stolen or not returned. TAXIS AND UBER. There are always plenty of taxis in the area. If you need one call 1300TAXI. Uber is recommended. You can request a taxi ride and can be picked up minutes later by an independent driver with users paying in advance by credit card. You can even keep track of the approaching ride via live mapping. It's a great service at competitive prices. Download the App. CAR HIRE There are many car hire service providers with nearby branches. that can be located by searching online. Try Budget, Hertz, Axis or Sixt. Tap, book and drive all from the Uber Carshare app. TRAMS Less than 4 kilometers from the city, Albert Park is well served by the No. 1 Tram which runs right past the end of the street. At the other end is the No. 96 Light Rail which is one of Melbourne's premier tourist routes and the No. 12 is only minutes away in Clarendon Street. Trams depart roughly every ten minutes. The city is about 20 minutes away and St.Kilda only 6 minutes away by tram.
